Las Vegas City Life magazine said of Shelly Taylor, "Imagine Ella Fitzgerald crossed with the slinky, bluesy sensibility of Mose Allison, all wrapped up with a side of Diana Krall, and you'll quickly get the picture."
Originally from Denver, pianist and vocalist Shelly Taylor has been working Las Vegas for the past ten years, performing regularly at the Bellagio, The Wynn, Harrah's, and the Mirage and now Aria at City Center!
Shelly's latest CD, All of You, was co-produced by bassist Morrie Louden, who has received international praise for his work in jazz, and by jazz musicians, including Chick Corea.
Shelly's first CD, Sugar, was released in 2002, and it is evident from the first note of the first song that she brings a new sensibility to the old jazz standards.
Having worked in San Francisco, and toured Asia with a successful stint in Japan, Shelly is as comfortable around the keys as she is an audience. Her command of the piano, combined with her sweet and seductive voice, will ensure that you, too, get the picture.
Shelly Taylor has been booked steadily in the top Resorts on the Las Vegas Strip.
In the last ten years, she performed at the MGM (1999-2000), The Mirage (2001-2005), The Wynn Resort (2005), The Range Steakhouse at Harrah's (2006-2008), The Bellagio (2006-Present), and also currently at Aria in the new City Center Complex.
Along with her steady engagements, she along with her group have performed for many convention clients including: Asics, Staples, Channel, Wells Fargo, World Market Center, HP, Johnson and Johnson, Pfizer, Band of America, and State Farm.
